SUMMARY:Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Essentials
DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT: You will receive reminder emails prior to your training date\, containing useful information and any necessary course materials. The Council recommends that you add the event to your calendar upon signing up. \nMental Health First Aid (MHFA) training provides the knowledge\, skills\, and attitudes to support a person who may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being\, a mental health or substance use crisis until professional help is available. The practical skills of MHFA help you develop the confidence and peace of mind knowing you can support those around you\, and your ability to self-care and prioritize your well-being while supporting others. \nMHFA Essentials is a suite of courses focused on core knowledge and practical skills\, offering a streamlined one-day course and adaptations for unique populations and specific roles. It provides a strong foundation in MHFA principles without formal assessment or certification\, making it an ideal option for individuals\, teams\, or communities seeking meaningful\, time-efficient training. \nImportant Notice: To support meaningful engagement and an effective learning experience\, participants are required to join the course using a device with functioning audio and a camera. Being on camera throughout the session supports full participation and interactive learning. If a participant does not have access to a camera-enabled device or a suitable space\, their employer will need to provide a device that has a camera and audio to support their staff’s professional growth. Thank you for helping us create a positive and fully engaged training environment. \n* Please note that each organization may sign-up a maximum of 4 employees per program \n** If you are registering yourself for the program\, please ensure that you have your managers permission to attend prior to registering
