SUMMARY:Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Certificate – March 24th and 25th
DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT: This is a two day training course\, in order to receive your certificate you must attend both days (9:30am – 3:30pm). Additionally\, You will receive reminder emails prior to your training date\, containing useful information and any necessary course materials. The Council recommends that you add the event to your calendar upon signing up. \nMental Health First Aid (MHFA) training provides the knowledge\, skills\, and attitudes to support a person who may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being\, a mental health or substance use crisis until professional help is available. The practical skills of MHFA help you develop the confidence and peace of mind knowing you can support those around you\, and your ability to self-care and prioritize your well-being while supporting others. \nMHFA Certification is an innovative and leading-edge program in the sector. Mental Health First Aid now offers official certification. This in-depth two-day course\, upon completion and assessment\, provides participants with increased mental health awareness\, enhanced mental health\, improved confidence to help\, and decreased mental health stigma. \nImportant Notice: To support meaningful engagement and an effective learning experience\, participants are required to join the course using a device with functioning audio and a camera. Being on camera throughout the session supports full participation and interactive learning. If a participant does not have access to a camera-enabled device or a suitable space\, their employer will need to provide a device that has a camera and audio to support their staff’s professional growth.
